SCOPE OF WORK

This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about youth development and eager to grow within a mission-driven organization. The Program Coordinator sits at the heart of AnBryce's day-to-day programming — working across our AnBryce Academy, SAIL Program, Camp Dogwood Summer Academy, and marketing efforts. You will gain the following in this position:

  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and families
  • Sharpen skills across program coordination, communications, and operations
  • Gain hands-on experience across a full portfolio of youth development programs — from elementary enrichment to college and career readiness
  • Utilize annual professional development funds to build skills
  • A clear pathway toward advancement into senior coordinator or program management roles as the Foundation grows
  • Deep grounding in the nonprofit, youth development, and education sectors in Washington, DC and beyond

RESPONSIBILITIES

General Program Support

  • Work closely with the Director of Education & Career Pathways and Camp Director to achieve the goals and objectives of all AnBryce programming
  • Receive training from SkillUp on their platform
  • Train students and parent/guardians on SkillUp platform
  • Collect and submit feedback from SkillUp platform users
  • Maintain effective communication with participants and families via email, phone, and in writing
  • Research and help develop service-learning projects, field trips, and new activities for participants
  • Maintain and update participant records, including demographic data, scholastic achievement, and program participation
  • Track and inform participants of opportunities for internships, pre-college programs, college writing support, STEM initiatives, and trade/certification programs
  • Manage Parent Engagement programs, including scheduling and preparing collateral materials.
  • Maintain and update the Resource Guide for participants and families
  • Provide timely progress reports to the leadership team
  • Coordinate updates to all program manuals under the supervision of the Leadership Team
  • Provide backup support across all programs and manage special projects as assigned
  • Manage volunteers and office interns and internship program
  • Manage participant events e.g., family engagement events in the
  • Maintain Advisory Council schedule and agenda

AnBryce Academy

  • Assist the Director of Education & Career Pathways in planning and executing AnBryce Academy programming
  • Collaborate with facilitators to ensure proper program implementation
  • Support program preparation, including gathering supplies and materials
  • Monitor and manage completion of all registration requirements
  • Communicate with families and escalate any concerns regarding instructors, students, or venue

Camp Dogwood Summer Academy

  • Assist in scheduling and coordination of parent orientations, camp setup, and closing
  • Monitor and support completion of all registration requirements
  • Assist with annual compilation of the ACA manual
  • Support communications with families and designated partners

Marketing, Communications & Community Relations

  • Support implementation of the Foundation's marketing strategies
  • Serve as an ambassador for the AnBryce Foundation and Camp Dogwood, articulating the mission, purpose, and values of the organization
  • Manage and update the Foundation website, social media platforms, and quarterly newsletter
  • Manage and update the alumni Slack community
  • Manage newsletter creation

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

  • Ability to communicate and work with groups of children of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to safety hazards.
  • Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid, including assisting participants in emergencies.
  • Ability to lift supply boxes and other items weighing up to 25 pounds.
